Why are we participating in the 30 Days Challenge?
There are many reasons to participate in the 30 Days Challenge! The 30 Days Challenge provides us with the support and motivation of community. As a group, we are united and driven by the common goal. More importantly, it’s a personal challenge where you commit yourself to an event or goal in life where you set your focus and determination to finish whatever you set out to do in life. We are here on the mat practice to build not just physical health but also emotional and mental strength. It may provide a space for you to explore the inner voice that coaches or criticizes you throughout your daily life. Learn to trust ourselves, have faith and believe in ourselves. ❤️Ultimately yoga seeks to transcend the inner chatter, to quiet your mind and to help you get in touch with a peaceful inner nature.

How to participate?
For members, you will just need to top up your membership to unlimited membership for the month of January. Top up can be made in cash or credit card at front desk prior to start of challenge. (Members RM 490 | Non-members RM 800). Put your name down on the challenge board and receive a limited edition challenger towel!

CONDITION during the Challenge:
Only/maximum 4 Hot Yin classes are counted into your 30 classes. So plan your classes wisely 

What you get out of the Challenge:
The biggest prize is YOU! A brand new you with positive mind, positive body!

Ground, Stabilise & Uplift with Bruce Chung

15-16 Jul 2017, Sat-Sun, 10AM-1230PM | 2PM-430PM (4 sessions)

The practice of asana is powerful in creating a particular effect depending on the postures that are practiced, the direction of the mind and breath, and the openness of the heart. A practitioner might do a series of hip openers if they wanted to ground and turn the attention inwards, or they might practice backbends if they wanted to uplift and move their energy outwards.

This 4-part workshop is designed for students who want to feel a variety of effects of their asana practice based on a group of postures. Taught in the style of Hatha Vinyasa, the workshop as a whole will cover all areas of the body, giving students a sense of balance as they work both their strength and flexibility.

Pick and choose which session(s) you want to join, or immerse yourself in all. This is an all-levels workshop, and open to any student wanting to redefine their practice.

  1.  Grounding Through Hip Openers & Forward Bends (15 Jul, Sat, 1000 – 1230):
  • Opening the workshop focusing on the release of the lower body lays a strong foundation for the subsequent parts.  We will practice unique ways of unlocking the hips, in addition to favourites like pigeon pose, and monkey pose (splits).
  1. Creating Stability Through Core Strength (15 Jul, Sat, 1400 – 1630):
  • Love it or hate it, core work is essential in creating endurance and stability throughout the whole body.  This will be a dynamic class that will challenge you and have you sweating and laughing.
  1. Uplifting Through Backbends (16 Jul, Sun, 1000 – 1230):
  • Backbends are known to be invigorating.  What is often not mentioned is the difficulty there is in moving into these vulnerable postures.  We will intelligently open the chest, shoulders and upper back to provide the freedom required to backbend, while in an environment that is both safe and supportive.
  1. Being Playful On The Hands (16 Jul, Sun, 1400 – 1630):
  • Now that there is a general opening in the body and greater strength in the core, we will explore a variety of arm balances and inversions.  Looking at each from angles that will help students to understand the mechanics of these trickier postures will also help to diffuse any fears there are around the practicing of them.
